Edward Felten performs research in computer security and privacy, and technology policy. Much of his work is at the interface between these two areas. Public policy aims to protect security and privacy, while security and privacy technologies define the landscape in which policy decisions are made. His research focuses on technical issues related to anti-copying technology and generally to technologies affecting copyright, intellectual property policy, and the impacts of technology regulation in general. Ph.D. University of Washington.
