Career Paths

Careers in Public Service

Woodrow Wilson School graduates pursue the public interest in widely diverse settings in the United States and overseas, using their WWS education to influence policy debates and implementation.

The varied and mobile careers of our graduates are well matched to a future that will require public-spirited leadership from our government officials, nonprofit and private sector entrepreneurs, writers and journalists and all others invested in public policy.

This isn’t an accident.

We start on day one with an introduction to the Career Development and Alumni Relations — a corner of Green Hall that becomes very familiar to the students during their time here.

In the process of trying to land a challenging and rewarding position, students are exposed to a variety of career paths — and are often helped along the way by our active and involved alumni.
