LAPA’s presentation of the “Full Court Press“ represents the fourth time that the LAPA has invited journalists and analysts who cover the Supreme Court to offer their observations of the issues facing the nation’s highest court in its role as a co-equal branch of government in the American system of checks and balances. The event, which is held close to “the first Monday in October” when the Court begins its new term, asks the panelists to reflect on the issues raised in the past year as well as what to watch for in the current term. This year’s panel will be presented as LAPA’s annual John Marshall Harlan ‘20 Program in Constitutional Adjudication.  The Harlan event celebrates the legacy of John Marshall Harlan, the eighth U.S. Supreme Court justice to graduate from Princeton. (Current Justices Samuel A. Alito, Jr. '72, Sonia Sotomayor '76 and Elena Kagan '81 are the ninth, 10th, and 11th Princeton alumni to serve on the Court.)

This year's panelists are:

Jess Bravin, Supreme Court correspondent,The Wall Street Journal

Marcia Coyle, Chief Washington Correspondent, National Law Journal

Jed Shugerman, Fordham University School of Law
