Dr Sanchez-R is a Senior Researcher and Scholar at the Office of Population Research at Princeton University, after being Professor at the Instituto de Urbanismo in the Universidad Central de Venezuela. Her work in Latin America has been characterized by the study of the urban areas, Metropolis,and the growing informal world that permanently coexisted in all spheres of Society. She stressed research on urban segregation, barrios, and youths violence radicalization.She authored and co-authored several books and articles in the United States, Europe and Latin America. Professor Sanchez -R has studied International Migration to the United States, with special interests in the construction of Latino Identities. Lastly, she is advancing research on International Migration of Talent and High Skilled Educated to the United States, with special interests in Venezuelan Immigrants. Recently she is advancing the analysis on the new alliances of State-Society under the authoritarian regime in Venezuela , the catatrophe and the Humanitarian crisis with the umprecedent massive Venezuelans migration to the Latin-American region. Profesor Sanchez-R has been selected for Fulbright Grant 20-21 to continue her work on Venezuelan Migration to Colombia, and the repercussions in the region.
